Guardians of Goodness is an immersive and engaging incursion that helps children understand that while we may all look or act differently, everyone has a role to play. Through storytelling, music, and interactive learning, students are guided to embrace kindness, empathy, and teamwork.

This interactive theatre experience follows Max, a shy child who struggles to fit in and is bullied for being different. When Max feels lost, his magical stationery comes to life, each item revealing its own strengths and imperfections. Together, they help Max discover his creative talents, build self-confidence, and learn that true friendship comes from being yourself, not from trying to impress others.

Blending live performance, puppetry, music, animation, and visual storytelling, Guardians of Goodness delivers powerful messages about kindness, resilience, creativity, and inclusion in a fun, age-appropriate way. The experience concludes with a positive resolution that models cooperation, empathy, and mutual respect.

Ideal for:

  • Primary schools in Melbourne and Victoria
  • Years 1 to 6 students

How the Program Works

Guardians of Goodness is a 90-minute interactive theatre experience where students follow Max and his magical stationery on a journey of kindness, empathy, and self-discovery. Through storytelling, puppetry, music, and hands-on activities, children explore their unique strengths, learn to celebrate differences, and practice teamwork. The session concludes with a positive, inclusive message that reinforces cooperation, resilience, and social-emotional learning.
